Making a move

Due to problems with loading Blogger on my linux machine at work, I’ve moved over to WordPress, the first major change since I moved to Bumf in July 2004. I’ll update old(er) Bumf at the end of the day with whatever I post on this site but I have yet to decide whether or not this will be a permanent move. Therefore, you are more than welcome to update your blogroll if you’re inclined to do so.

Just don’t get upset if I decide I don’t like this format and make another switch soon.

Hey Rob. I really like WordPress, so I hope you do too. It’s much easier to deal with than Blogger, but probably less freedom in the design dept. Since I can’t design to save my life, it’s fine for me. You can, also, move all your old content over.

How’s everything going, by the way? Married life? Work life? Other?

This won’t help you escape my gloating about the Canucks.

I’ve been pondering whether I should start a blog of my own and have decided that if I do it will be with wordpress. A good call Huck for once).

Coming from someone who has been photographed wearing nothing but a guitar and an orange toque, consider your comments noted, Darcey.

    Reg,
I don’t know. WordPress is okay but I don’t know how to get into the template to mess around with the settings, colours, etc. It seems to be not too difficult in the general sense, but I’m still in Blogger mode and find much of their navigation to be confusing, and there are some features which I don’t know how to change (like time-stamping the comments). Also, features vary from template to template, which isn’t always the best thing.

That said, it’s not a bad place to start, which is what I was thinking when I hooked up with Blogger in 2004.

Himbly, life is fine, we’ve just switched to auto-pilot after all the craziness and are looking forward to a nice, relaxing summer in the neighbourhood.

Perhaps we should hook up for a cup of coffee sometime soon. Maybe this weekend or in the evening later this week?
